The Martian

I'm very much a huge fan of sci-fi, monsters, aliens, etc so when I saw the Martian as an option I hopped on that to read because. The original Alien films from back in the day I loved it. There's a lot of science details that you actually don't get too much information on in sci-fi like they just expect you to just say yeah this does this just because for story reasons. But in this story it actually gets into detail behind the science. The whole concept for traveling to mars or better yet actually living in mars has been talked about for quite awhile now but in the story it talks about a NASA team actually going to mars. But when a storm happens they leave a man behind because they thought he died or something and leave him for dead essentially but he wasn't dead. So that kinda put the guy in a real bad spot for when he realized that he was on his own and had to do whatever it takes for him to survive and wait for rescue. And this guy used literally everything from his own feces to possibly having to use piss if his water machine were to break. He thought out the struggle to survive out their which was a lot to think about if anything were to go wrong. Luckily Mark eventually fights for his life long enough for his crew to rescue him. He got on the ship and was headed back to earth its safe to say he won't be eating tomatoes for awhile. Man using your own poop for that? Disgusting but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess.
